Yesterday afternoon some dear friends hosted a shower for Kayla and David on our farm!

I cannot find the words to even begin to describe how beautiful and what a blessing the shower was!

Kayla gave her very-soon-to-be-mother-in-law a darling necklace that said “thank you for raising the man of my dreams” on it! SO sweet!! Kayla is marrying into such an amazing family! We are so blessed!

The gifts were INCREDIBLE! So creative. So thoughtful. So useful. SUCH A BLESSING!

Lisa, Hannah, and Bekah – THANK YOU. For all that went into this beautiful shower – thank you! Words are not enough. We love you all SO much.

Thanks also to everyone who came to the farm to shower David and Kayla with blessings!! We are all overwhelmed with gratitude!!

Was also SUPER blessed by her daughter’s post and then many, many friends who called, sent e-mails, texts and comments – thank you all SO much!! Spent the day with tears in my eyes!! Even got a text with music attached to it! (Love you, Lori!!)

There were some chickens that met their fate….

That night it was all hands on deck to process, package and weigh them! No, I did not touch any chickens, alive or dead! Just keeping the record straight here!

And there is another week gone by!

It is like summer here – SO beautiful!!! The guys are grilling burgers and Addie and I made a big pot of cowboy beans, potato salad, cole slaw and fruit stew! A good summer meal for a summer-like day! I think we will sit outside and enjoy this while we can!

Tomorrow there is a BIG BLESSING that friends are hosting here on the farm! Been getting ready for it today and it has been SO MUCH FUN! Stay tuned to hear all about it!!

We had a blast working together to get David and Kayla’s soon-to-be new place sparkly clean!! Thirty-one days until the blessed wedding day!!!!

Some kiddos worked in the bedrooms!

Kayla, Lane and I started off in the kitchen!

Eliza helped by being a very good little girl!!

The boys put a new bed together…..and then Eliza had her afternoon nap!!

Soon the bathroom was scrubbed!

Lane worked on the back porch! The porches are such a neat part of their new home! One on front too!

Then the four middles scrubbed all the floors while Kayla and I hung some curtains!

We had SO much fun!! And we had it shining when we were finished! Many hands make light work!!!
