This weekend we took a road trip!

To Illinois for my nephew’s wedding! See that nice car that is following us? That is David, Kayla, and their darling chaperone Addie Mae!

Eliza was a super star traveler, of course!! She only had one unhappy time in the whole 11 hours we were in the van!!

The wedding was beautiful! My sister took a group shot for us!

The trip was quick! We were only there 24 hours!

It was such a beautiful drive! Spending time with the loves of my life!!!

A fun road trip!! But always glad to be back home!

First, I had to deal with the dreaded part of vacation.

Camp laundry trumps farm laundry, just by its quantity alone.

And maybe even by its stink.

But definitely by its quantity.

We have been doing some more camping…..

Indoors, that is!

And needing to warm up the house some mornings. Fall is HERE!!

This week was filled with doctor’s appointments for Eliza.

She didn’t love any of them, and there were many parts she didn’t even like, poor girl!

It doesn’t take long for her to return to her sweet, happy self!

David and Kayla got the keys to what will be their new home! We all went and checked it out!

Have I told you how happy they are??!! We are happy for them too!!

We also did more canning, school work, farm work, and wedding planning! Looks like a pretty normal week for us these days!

Shouldn’t be too hard to see why!

I want to etch every moment of this time with Eliza into my memory forever….

Like how she yells “ALL DONE!” when the tires of the van hit the gravel of the driveway as we return home after being away.

Or how she says “HI, MAMA!” in her little sing song voice every morning as I wake her up….

and then greets everyone by name as I carry her into the kitchen.

She is growing and changing by the second……

I think I better hold on extra tight.
