Such A Gem

She doesn’t have her sea legs back yet, but I still have to brag a bit already about what a gem this little one was today!

What progress we have made in just a few months!! Everyone that knew us at UW commented on it! Eliza was such a brave, confident gem today!!

Sweet baby girl, we are so proud of you!!

Praise the Lord!

Team Eliza

Blake and I are team Eliza tomorrow as we will head to UW Madison for a sedated CMG test as a routine check of the pressures of Eliza’s bladder. We also have an appointment with the urologist.

Yesterday Eliza had an ultrasound of her kidneys and bladder done locally. She will also have x-rays and see the orthopedic doctor this month as part of her routine care.

Can you believe how big our sweet girl is getting??

These sedated appointments give us a very early start on the road….and a little one that is not allowed to eat or drink. Prayers are coveted, as always, for travel and especially for Eliza!

She no longer struggles riding in the van, as can be seen here:

We have been doing our best to prepare Tate for what this day will mean for him. So far, he is not taking this news lightly! Prayers for feelings of security for our little man while we are away are also coveted!

Give a shout of praise to the Lord, too, for the amazing team of doctors we have for our two precious little ones!

A Blessed Thanksgiving Weekend

Besides the heaviness of losing Lexi, the rest of our holiday weekend was a huge blessing.

We had sweet fellowship with sweet friends who joined us on Friday for awhile!

Saturday we had our family Thanksgiving. Our sweet friend Gail joined us too! We took a vote and everyone agreed to a finger foods Thanksgiving. It was super fun and really yummy! We snacked, enjoyed fellowship, played lots of games, sipped cider and coffee, enjoyed that precious baby Clyde, and enjoyed each other! It was a blessed day!

Happy Monday, everyone!!

Our Sweet Lexi

She has been a part of our family since she was a few months old….and part of our life on the farm since she was three years old.

She turned ten years old in September.

Now she is gone.

There have been tears, and some super sad kiddos.

We will miss you so much, sweet Lexi.

I cannot imagine waking up tomorrow without you here to greet me.
