The second Saturday in August we were blessed to participate in a bridal shower for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law!

I was asked to be in charge of the decorations and a gluten-free dessert option – to which I said “Absolutely!” – but then immediately texted Addie Mae and said, “HELP!!!”

I can organize like no one’s business, bake and cook for many people without one worry – and FOLLOW someone’s creativity PERFECTLY.

So Addie ran with her amazing ideas and I was just her helper!

It turned out SO cute and we had SO much fun putting it all together.

We cut a lot of blooms off of our hydrangea bush by our front porch to add to the tables the day of the shower.

Once we were at church, Addie quickly came up with a plan to make the huge space look more intimate and personable!

I love how the set up of the tables turned out!

Kailey’s sisters provided a delicious light lunch for the guests!

They also had some very cute games that we played and all enjoyed!

It was such a sweet gathering of family and friends!

Kailey opened gifts after we ate and enjoyed those games.

Wow, what a blessing it was to see how generous everyone was in helping Chad and Kailey establish their new home!!

It was just four weeks later that we watched this beautiful gal walked down the aisle and become one with Chad!!

I have tears in my eyes all the time these days, you all!!

Celebrating your children find their spouse is just one of the most amazing things!!

What a beautiful shower we had that day.

What a joy to celebrate Chad and Kailey!!
