Baby K

We are excitedly awaiting the arrival of Baby K!!

We do not know if Baby K is a boy or a girl, but we all have made our guesses!

Prayers for our beautiful daughter, our son-in-law, and new grand baby are much appreciated!

Baby K, we are ready for you!!

A New Season

A new season begins.

We have accepted an offer on our farm….and we are SO excited to see how God writes the rest of this story!

Emotions are high here.

But we are not a family that grumbles or complains.

And we have made a promise that we will leave this IMMENSE blessing that the Lord has blessed us with this last 8 1/2 years in complete joyful obedience.

Although there may be some tears.

We are working on finding our new home, but plan to close on or before August 2nd.

If you are lead to pray with us, we would be ever so grateful!

Adoni Acres, I cannot imagine a day without you.

I know, Lord, once we see what You have in store…..we will be AMAZED at Your blessed kindness to us once again.

All Hands On Deck

This week has been rainy, rainy, rainy.

On Monday, though, we had a beautiful, blue, sunny day!

Me and my crew worked hard ALL day trying to redeem the farm after so much rain!

It was a FUN day full of fellowship while we worked!

These three and I cleaned up the front landscape by weeding, picking up pinecones, and sweeping up pine needles!

Hind sight tells us that it really wasn’t a good time to knock a wall down!

As soon as we knocked it down it has rained for two weeks straight!

Addie Mae and I made an apple pie for a church meeting Monday night too.

It got rave reviews!!

Things that Addie Mae makes always do!!

(I was just her gofer and her clean-up crew! OH – and I sliced the apples!)

There had been a showing scheduled for Monday night and for Tuesday morning.

BOTH showings cancelled at the last minute!

We were still very glad that we had worked to get the farm back in shape!

We are hoping for some more sunshine sometime soon!

Hope it is sunny where you are!

Tate’s Turn

Friday night it was Tate’s turn to go on a date with Blake and I.

This boy is a GEM.

Just like it was with Eliza’s turn, it was so, so very fun to have him all to ourselves!

First, I got to have some one-on-one time with Tate as we did some shopping before we met up with the guy who buys the coffee!

A stop at Target scored Tate some popcorn while I worked on printing registries to buy wedding gifts.

THIS BOY.

Everything we did, he would excitedly say “Can I save some for Eliza?!” “Can I get that for Eliza too?!” “I want to buy this for Eliza!”

His heart is just the best!

So I let him buy some Melissa and Doug binoculars.

Blue ones for him and a pink one for Eliza!

He kept them around his neck while we did all of our other shopping.

Blake caught up with us at Sam’s Club.

We grabbed the remainder of the grocery we needed, but the kiddos had done the bulk of the grocery shopping earlier that day!

Pretty soon it was time to head to the coffee shop.

I had packed a snack cooler, and we had stopped to buy some ice cream for Tate.

We let him play the tablet, well, because Eliza had, and they were pretty set on having the exact same date night!

Tate did choose chocolate ice cream instead of mint chocolate chip.

Sorry, Eliza!

Tate talked and talked (in his usual fashion) and I was SUPER glad that I got to focus on every word he said because there were not others talking over top of him!

One-on-one time is a HIT.

I couldn’t love you more, Tate Owen!!

Yesterday morning started with a wild game of hide-in-seek for Tate and Eliza!

In their pjs and with their binoculars, of course!

Next up will be Lane.

He is CLEAR EXCITED!

So is his Mama!!

I wonder what he will want to do for date night?

I just hope it includes ice cream!!
