A Very Merry Christmas

Did you all have a wonderful Christmas??!

We sure did!!

The whole month of December was extremely busy, but even so the Lord was burdening me to quiet myself before Him in preparation of the celebration of His Son’s birthday!

What a privilege to be pursued by our Heavenly Father!

My favorite, favorite, favorite Christmas time “tradition” is our Christmas Eve candlelight service at our church.

Our church family likes to SING!

And it fills my heart SO full to be a part of it!

Our children like to sing too!

Which fills my heart even fuller!

After church we enjoyed a yummy meal together!

Christmas day brought our favorite people to Twin Oaks for a brunch, a gift exchange, and to spend the entire day together.

It was fantastic!

I am sure you know that the food was in abundance and really yummy!

Thank you Addie Mae for these cinnamon rolls!

They are tradition too!!

Our seven children and David drew names for a gift exchange this year!

It was really fun for them!

Each one gave such thoughtful, useful gifts!!

Kay and her crew also had gifts to open from my Mom!

Our afternoon was filled with games, snacks, naps, more snacks, more games, and lots of good conversations!!

It was the most beautiful and warm day!

Any day that starts and ends with a sky like this has to be the best day yet.

Kay and her crew headed back to Briar’s place when it was time for bed!

Bright and early Christmas morning I sat in the lights of the Christmas tree and read the story of Jesus’s birth in Luke 2.

I could not keep the smile off my lips as I read, just thinking of God planning for THIS to be the way for us to live forever!

Forever with Him!

By just saying “I believe in You, God, and Your Son and what You did for me!”

Heavenly Father, it just takes my breath away!

Thank you for giving us Your Son!

Thank you for giving us a way to be with You in Heaven!

Thank you for giving us Christmas so we can reflect, remember and celebrate what You have done for us!
