Our first flight on our trip has been delayed by over one hour. There is concern that we will not make our international flight to Hong Kong. Please pray!! Pray us the whole way there!!
The Journey Begins
We are just about to begin our journey to China!! It was a busy week as we got ready for our journey to begin…
I took Addie to the doctor and she got medication for an inner ear infection.
These guys here met their fate…..
and are now this!!
We all had chiropractor appointments, which we do for the health benefits. After Lane had his turn, he hopped up and said “I feel like I got a whole new head put on!” Which is true! We feel so good after our appointments!
Grandpa and Grandma Nettell visited, all the way from Illinois, and brought gifts for Eliza! (We forgot to get our group photo of us all together like we normally do! Or any other photos at all for that matter!) Aren’t those dresses the cutest thing ever?!
We also did a lot of normal things, but relished in them more than usual….
We kept up with the farm….
Made deliveries to our customers…..
Cleaned the whole house….
And finished packing all of this!
Kayla thought we should make you all play “I Spy” with the above photos! Can you believe all that stuff? Do you spy Grant? Do you spy our little dog Zoe? Do you spy one completely worn out Mama? No worries, Lane was refueling me!
In a very short time, all of that looked like this!
We are loading the van to head to the airport and then it will soon be time to say goodbye. The tears were flowing already last night. This part is not going to be easy. Please pray with us!

*For Eliza!
*For travel mercies
*For pain-free flying for Addie Mae because of her ear infection
*That ALL of my food will make it through the security checkpoints
*For our hearts as we say goodbye
*For health and a hedge of protection around us all
I know the Lord has gone before us and paved the way……this is going to be a journey beyond our imagination!

A Praise and a Prayer Request
Praise the Lord with us for how quickly I am getting well!! He is hearing your prayers!! I only napped once yesterday, and felt pretty good all day long. I am feeling good this morning too!
We have another urgent need for prayer as Addie Mae started feeling poorly yesterday. She has pain in her ear and was burning up with a fever last night. From what I can tell with my untrained eye and an oto-scope, her right ear is infected. Normally we would treat this on our own with garlic infused oil, but because she is getting on a plane in three days, we are headed to our doctor again this morning. Do you think I should just ask if he would come to China with us?
It is in the trials that the Lord can show Himself strong through us!! Pray for Addie with us. Pray that the Lord can use all of this for His glory.
Four Sleeps!!!!
Time is flying by!!! We are flying to China in four sleeps!!!
We filled the holiday weekend full of work, fun, and full time rest for me. Lots of family time. Taking time to connect. And to look at the moon.
We hung out together at our favorite gathering spot.
Some of us are not very good at just hanging out!
I soaked up these kind of moments all weekend long. I am going to miss these kiddos so much!
We celebrated our freedom with a festive dessert and then going to watch fireworks with dear friends.
I cannot find the words that I need right now. Our phone has been ringing, our inbox has been full, my cell phone beeps with endless texts….and we know it is the prayers and support of all of you that have literally gotten us through these last few days. We could not have gotten through this without you!! We are clinging to Jesus like never before. He has us completely relying only on Him. We don’t want the enemy to win!! PLEASE keep praying with us.
How am I doing? A little better. The pain and fatigue is mind boggling, but yesterday I was up for part of the day. We are hoping and praying I will be 100% by the time we travel on Friday!
