Our sweet baby LOVES farm life!
And literally runs until she drops.
Now there’s a sure sign of spring!!
Even though we woke up to snow covered ground yesterday, today it has been beautiful!
What a sweet start to the weekend I had when Blake took the four oldest kiddos to get grocery last night.
That left Eliza and I home alone, and gave us both the one-on-one time we needed!
Today has been blessedly busy and full here on the farm.
There has been much to do, for both us gals and for the guys!
Besides going to the dump, going to pick up some hay, finishing up the repairing/rebuilding of the grill, the guys have been working on that broken truck.
With some helpers, of course!
Addie Mae and I went for a walk with Eliza, and soon two boys were following along!
Takes my breath away every. single. time.
Hi, Addie!
Of course some swinging was in order too!
I haven’t been able to convince our lab, Lexi, to come inside at all today!
She and I started out on the front porch when everyone was still sleeping very early this morning.
Even though I had my winter coat on, I had hot coffee, my pup, and a glorious sunrise to keep me company.
I can’t get enough of this beautiful day either, Lexi!
Thank you, honey, for the yummy grilled burgers for dinner!
And thank you, Grant, for getting our grill working again!
We have all worked hard today, but it has been such a sweet Saturday!!
Hope you all had a sweet Saturday too!!
I am still loving Five In A Row!
We are rowing the book The Glorious Flight.
Such a fun book! We were not able to fit all the fun into five days!
Lane loves when I make him a tic tac toe board of words to listen for while I read the story. He marks them off as he hears them. SO many skills being used with this activity!
We also learned about England, France, the English channel, and made a small map book of that area. I could have went on and on with learning in these topics!
Of course there is always a stack of books to read along with the book we are rowing! Technology is a good thing when it comes to ordering library books on line, getting an e-mail from the library when they are in, and just stopping by the library to grab them from the front desk. Love that!
The planes that Louis Bleriot built he named with Roman Numerals. So we learned them! Except Lane told me I did not need to teach him Roman Numerals, because he taught them to himself learning to read our big clock in the sunroom.
We still have lots to learn about how aircrafts are built, all of there parts, the four forces of flight, some paper airplanes to make to illustrate these points…..and I have some activities to do to show how planes steer with their tails.
Should be another fun week next week of rowing The Glorious Flight!
I am so thankful that knowing the Lord has taught me to look at every glass as half full!
There are blessings in every thing. I love seeking them, counting them, and praising Jesus for them!
My blessing photos are usually taken with my phone – so they are not the best quality (at all!!). But still so precious!
I don’t want to ever forget the blessing of one cuddly little girl. It shows a deep level of attachment and trust that is an amazing blessing. I love how she says “Hold you, Mommy!” Blessed.
Local greens. Back in season, crisp, oh so yummy, and all gone with one meal. Blessed.
Grant will be traveling to China to help bring Tate home. His passport arrived! Blessed.
This ridge. It is spectacular in its beauty. Even when we climb up it and down it several times a day. Blessed.
Simple foods to stock the freezer. Smoothie season is ahead! Blessed.
Two new drivers. I CAN’T WAIT till they have their licenses! Blessed.
A little one who loves to be outside. And a Mama who loves to play with her. (that snow is long gone now!) Blessed.
New cowgirl boots. (Thanks, David and Kayla!!!) Cause she rocks this look. Blessed.
The reading store wins again. Love when the Lord burdens me with a good idea! Blessed.
Quiet time looking out the south windows after late night storms. Everything is turning green! Blessed.
Playing games at David and Kayla’s place. We LOVE to be at David and Kayla’s! Blessed.
A daughter who loves to bless us with her delicious creations. These are chocolate chip cookie bowls for the ice cream sundae bar for Kayla’s birthday! But the dog ate them before we got the chance to. Sigh. I still love that dog! Blessed.
Our bedroom filled with late night chaos. The good kind of chaos! It gets so loud! Blake looked at me and smiled and said “We will miss this SO much someday.” Yes, honey. Yes we will. SO blessed.
*Can you see Lane and Chad dancing in the bathroom? Can you see Eliza doing flips off of Blake’s leg? Can you hear Grant cracking jokes and picture Addie covering her head with that quilt as she laughs till her sides hurt? Sweet chaos!

Getting this post ready has made my heart swell with thanksgiving!
Have you counted your blessings today? PRAISE JESUS for them! He is worthy to be praised!
