Our Sweet Lexi

She has been a part of our family since she was a few months old….and part of our life on the farm since she was three years old.

She turned ten years old in September.

Now she is gone.

There have been tears, and some super sad kiddos.

We will miss you so much, sweet Lexi.

I cannot imagine waking up tomorrow without you here to greet me.

Tate’s Prayer

At our dinner table, we always all hold hands and say a prayer before we eat.

We take turns being the one to say the prayer over our meal, our day, our family.

Tate and Eliza have both been asking to be the ones to pray lately!

We prompt them with very simple words to repeat, but their hearts are SO sweet.

Here is Tate’s prayer:

These children are SUCH JOY!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone!!

It’s Thanksgiving Tomorrow!

In preparation for Thanksgiving, these guys were loaded very early yesterday morning to meet their fate.

See that big guy there?

He weighed in at 34 pounds!

Oh, how I love the views from this ridge!

003

Now those guys look like this!

Nothing, nothing like a farm fresh turkey roasting in your oven on Thanksgiving day!

Thanks, Chad, for being a good sport for this photo!

This also happened.

Peanut butter pie!

Cause Addie Mae is our daughter.

It was FANTASTIC.

Grain-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and only two tablespoons of sugar (maple syrup) in the whole pie!

That’s why I ate more than one piece. Yep.

I will add these for your viewing pleasure!

We are looking forward, Lord willing, to a weekend of family, friends, fellowship, games, good food and some time serving our community!

SO much to be thankful for!!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
