Fun Facts Friday!!

It’s FRIDAY!

What a GREAT week we have had!

Even though it started out like this Monday morning.

What you cannot see in that photo that Addie Mae took, is the physics lesson we had on how many directions and how far spaghetti sauce can fly when the lid pops off when it is dropped.

Good grief, it was everywhere!

This week has allowed a lot of healing!

Everyone’s coughs are almost gone!

As I washed my hands for the millionth time this morning, it made me thankful for this soap that I love.

We have used Dr. Bronner’s soaps for years and years and years.

Lavender is my favorite!

We put just a smidge of the liquid soap in our pump dispensers, and fill it the rest of the way with filtered water.

It still has plenty of bubbles and cleaning power watered down!

And no harsh chemicals!!

I sent my good camera away a couple of weeks ago to the camera hospital and it just came back this week all healed up!

It was fun to use it again to take these photos now that it works and all!

We use the bar soap in our showers, and my boys even wash their hair with it.

In other cleaning news, even though I have mentioned it before, this Thieves Cleaner from Young Living is my favorite all purpose cleaner.

It works so well and smells so good!

It does not have any harmful chemicals in it either, which is important to us!

I read this book to the kiddos this week during morning snack time.

Please tell me there are other Mama’s out there that cry while reading to their kiddos?

This book makes me tear up every time!

I have read it aloud SO many times over the years!

I had a few questions about which apps we purchased and downloaded to our tablets.

The kids have enjoyed them all so far.

Our favorites for Tate and Eliza are The Kids Bible Stories, Monkey Words, and Monkey Math.

The piano keyboard is OK, but it does not do much, so it does not keep their attention.

Our favorites for Chad and Lane are Stack the States, and BC Playground.

I am sure you all know what Friday means for me and my crew!

My grocery crew are KEEPERS.

They also eat.

ALOT.

But they brought me home a new coffee to try!

And they spotted these new Lara Bars and brought them home to try too!

Keepers, I tell you.

Keepers!

They know their Mama would choose chocolate and mint over ANY other treat!

We tasted these after lunch – so they are GONE.

I think I will grab some more on date night tonight!

Do you all have a fun weekend planned?!

We DO! Lord Willing, of course!

We have a certain someone who is going to be NINE years old on Sunday!

I know, I know.

He was just FIVE.

Time has a way of messing with you like that.

I can’t wait to enjoy blessing this precious boy and also enjoy the fellowship and good food that birthday parties bring with them!

I also can’t wait for date night!

Cause my hubby and I aren’t in Florida anymore!

I am ready for some one-on-one time with my favorite guy!

Hope you all are having a great Friday too!

Happy weekend, everyone!!

Clyde’s Place

Yesterday was a GREAT day!

It started out beautifully, even though it ended up being cloudy and rainy!

We had a plan!

To head to Clyde’s place for lunch and play!

I told Kayla on Tuesday evening that I would bring tacos for lunch.

In the middle of my time with Jesus early yesterday morning, I got this text from Kay!

Hilarious!

Not only did we spend it at Clyde’s place….

but ALL my kiddos were there!

AND my grand babies!

Just LOOK at this pile of smiles!!

We had lunch and then played!

Clyde was not into sharing his NaiNai’s lap!

See that little hand pushing Tate off?

I read to Clyde and he fell asleep in my lap!

The babies went down for their naps, so we made cookies!

There were some diapers to fold!

And a new Fixer Upper to watch!

We stream it off of Amazon!

Having everyone together was SUCH a joy.

Loving on my grand babies FILLS ME UP!!

I had two in my van on the way home and it was very quiet!

We are hoping and praying that illness for our family is DONE for awhile and that we will be able to make our weekly lunch and play dates to Clyde’s place again!

Sweet Clyde and all of your people – we love you to the moon and back!!

Our Sweet Baby

What a week last week was for our Eliza Claire.

The illness that starting running through our home right as Blake and I left for Florida hit Eliza the hardest.

Blake and I were receiving texts with photos like this while on our trip – and our hearts were aching!

When we got home Sunday night, even with all of the sickness we knew we had a FULL week ahead.

We were showing the farm on Monday at 4:30.

So I tucked two coughing and feverish littles into my bed, turned on a show, and ran around unpacking and cleaning.

Eliza perked up a bit when we left for the showing!

We usually go and find somewhere to park and hang out.

The next day Eliza was much worse.

The rest of last week I did a lot of this.

And enjoyed every second of it.

I did sneak out during naps one afternoon because Lane and I had eye doctor appointments.

He sure is a fun one to take on an eye doctor date!

Thursday morning Eliza sat up and ate breakfast!

This spurt of energy did not last long…but it was encouraging to see her upright and eating!

She lost several pounds while she was sick.

We are so thankful that Eliza is all better today!

Playing, eating, and talking our ears off!

Praise the Lord!!!

In other good news, we showed the farm on Friday morning too, and have another showing scheduled for tomorrow afternoon!!

It is SO encouraging!!

Praise the Lord again!!

Hope you all are having a great start to your week as well!

Adoni Acres In Its Glory

The snow is long since gone, but these photos are worth talking about.

Once we move (Lord willing), these are the images that will forever be in my heart and mind of this blessed place we have called home for the last eight years.

We are eagerly awaiting spring with all of its glory!

Winter had a glory all its own.

To say we are going to miss this ridge makes those words seem so small.

Way too small for something so BIG.

Adoni Acres, you have been a blessing like NO other!

We pray and pray that whomever the Lord brings to love you next will love you as much as we do.

We can’t wait to watch God’s story be written.
