Twin Oaks

The events of this long weekend have left us feeling so completely humbled.

We could have never imagined how God would write this story – but we know – no matter what – He always writes the BEST ones!

Maybe someday I will be able to share every detail about what God has been doing for us – but for now, I will share part of this story.

Having two offers on the farm a day apart was something we could not have imagined.

After the one offer was signed, we called the owner of that sweet little home on top of that ridge that we loved so much.

We never could have imagined that it would still be for sale.

But it was!

It was still for sale!

We met with the owner and his wife yesterday morning and stood inside that sweet little home.

We gave them our offer, they accepted, and then we spent time together talking about the in and outs of finishing our new home.

We do not have a rental secured anymore because the one we had has been rented and moved in to.

We were looking for options, but did not get any where because of the holiday.

But now we do not need to look any more.

Beyond anything we could have asked or even thought, these sweet generous people have told us that they will finish our new home and get us in there by August 11th so we do not have to move twice.

You all!

We are not worthy!

August 11th is only a mere five weeks and two days away!

The goal is to get the main level finished, and then work on the lower level even if we are already there.

I woke up this morning and my first thought was “Did all this REALLY happen??”

Surely not!

Now you know why we feel so humbled.

We had a fun afternoon yesterday picking out all the finishing touches that our new home will get.

We also named our new place and the little acreage around it.

Before this house was built there, there was a very old farm house on the land, but they were unable to save it.

The land is FULL of beautiful, old, huge trees.

Including these two.

We are going to call the place we will soon call home Twin Oaks.

We think it suits it well!

Please understand, we are very aware that nothing is done until it is done.

But we are going forward in faith.

Please continue to pray with us!

For unity, strength, and that we will shine a bright, bright light to every single person we meet during this transition!

Please also pray for our hearts as we pack up Adoni Acres family farm, because leaving here is still going to be very, very hard.

We are SO thankful to each one of you who has reached out to us right now to encourage us and more thankful for your prayers!

Blessings to you all!!

We love you!!

That’s truly amazing and wonderful! What a huge blessing. I can only imagine how hard you must have been hit when the original offer was withdrawn, but it all worked truly for he best.

How much easier (and cheaper – no double move, no rental) it will all be on everybody involved. No in between stage, no trying to create new normal just to move again a few months later. I am also very happy that you are moving into a place that already stolen your heart,

May Twin Oaks bring you lots of happiness. I cannot wait to see what you make out of the lovely place.

Good luck with all the packing, preparing, planning, unpacking, …. and all that goes into moving.
