Seasons Of Change

This will be a bittersweet post!

This enormous change in our lives has been a year in the making.

Blake and I knew we should not and could not tackle this change last spring in the middle of Tate’s adoption.

But we are tackling it now.

We are in the process of selling our home and family farm.

Bittersweet indeed.

I am sure anyone who has been following along here knows how richly we have been blessed the last seven years on our family farm.

It has been the most rewarding season of our lives to date.

Even though there have been tears (many), and even sobs (many), we have a burden from the Lord for the necessity for this change, and we are going to be obedient.

No matter how hard this will be.

We are very, very excited to watch the Lord write the story of this next season of our lives!!

It is our greatest prayer that the Lord will see fit to keep us on this ridge that we call home.

This farm holds a very special place in our hearts.

It is taking the air out of my lungs to share this with you all today.

We know though, without a doubt, that home is not the walls that you live in.

Home is the people.

The people you share those walls with.

Blake and I have a fire burning in us, and we are excited to follow the Lord!!

Will you pray with us as we enter this next season of our lives?

Soli Deo gloria!!!

  1. Jennie says:

Definitely praying! I know change is so hard, and there aren’t too many words that can make that easier for you. But it sounds like you guys have the best perspective – God is doing something great here and it will be exciting to watch it unfold!

  2. Ang says:

I have a friend who believes God never calls you out of something until he calls you into something else. I can wait to hear where you’re headed.

    • Steph says:

Sweet friend. We can’t wait to watch God continue to write our story. Our goal for every single thing…..may it ALL be for the Glory of God. ❤

  3. Tammy H. says:

I love hearing about your obedience to the Lord. It never ceases to amaze me how God moves in our lives. I can’t wait to see what amazing way He is moving in your lives now.

  4. Tabitha says:

Praying for you. Listening and waiting for direction takes patience. May the Lord bless you as you continue to walk in obedience, no matter the cost.

  5. Connie says:

Ohhhh! Was my first reaction. I know how much you have loved it there. As God leads you you will find peace and strength for every step of the way. May you have God’s richest blessings in your life as you follow Him.

  6. Michelle says:

Well, I shouldn’t let a couple of weeks go by without checking in on one of my favorite families…you never can quite anticipate the surprises! Your news is so exciting! It shows that you are willing and obedient in following God’s plan for your lives. You all have such awesome memories there to cherish (and so do the many that you have shared it with over the years)! There can’t be anything better than being in His will, so without a doubt you can trust in the sweet peace He gives! Good bless and keep us posted!

    • Steph says:
