Post Surgery Appointment for Chad

This Monday we headed back to Madison for an appointment for Chad with his surgeon.

We took Lane Stevan along for the ride!!

A blessed distraction!

When we arrived, Chad’s name was called right away.

The nurse that took us back removed Chad’s splint, and then the surgeon came in and removed the wrap that was closest to his injuries.

IT LOOKED SO GOOD!

It was the first time we have seen Chad’s post-surgery hand.

During surgery the surgeon had to open up each of Chad’s fingers with bigger incisions than the original injury to be able to see everything that needed repaired.

There were a lot more stitches than after that first repair in the E.R.

The surgeon gave us the game plan – a cast for two weeks, and then we will go back to get that off, get a new splint, and be able to start therapy.

We headed over to the casting area to wait our turn.

The whole visit was pain free for Chad, including the casting process.

SO thankful!

Ok.

Here’s some stuff.

I never really know who, if anyone, is reading this little space of ours on the world wide web.

Lately I have known this gets read.

That we get prayed for.

That new posts about Chad are being waited for.

Because you all are reaching out to say so.

The texts, e-mails, comments, messages, cards, phone calls, PRAYERS….we just cannot say loud enough how much it all means to us.

THANK YOU.

Monday evening was HARD.

This all is really not THAT bad!

It is just A LOT.

I’m praying for Chad, and if you would continue to join me, I would be ever so grateful.

Thank you all for your prayers!

I cannot wait to post a photo of Chad doing all the things he loves!!

Stay tuned – Lord willing it will just be a few more months!
