Even though Blake’s birthday was on Thursday, we waited until this weekend to celebrate!
Three of my very favorite people came up yesterday evening to have dinner with us!
Kayla made her Dad his favorite cookies for his birthday! Good thing they have butter and eggs in them so most of the rest of us will stay away from them!
One of those three favorite people cooked dinner for us!
We had Mexican! A favorite for everyone!
And at Blake’s request, we had roasted bananas and ice cream for dessert.
The fellowship was sweet! We missed Grant a lot, as he was at work.
NaiNai held Clyde while he napped! He is wrapped up in that warm soft blanket, but you cannot see his face because the photo was taken from the opposite side!

The birthday celebration continued into today! Grant does not work on Sundays, so we celebrated again!
This time it was Cajun! Louisiana Jambalaya! At Blake’s request!
Blake traveled for six years with his job in Illinois, before we moved to Wisconsin fourteen years ago. He spent a lot of time in Louisiana! Not sure if this tasted like the real thing, but everyone loved it!
The rest of the day was full!
Haircuts. Five boys now!
Games. Our favorite winter time thing.
